  18. 1. WHAT'S INVERT HACK?

  21. There's really not much to say about Invert Hack: It automatically inverts
  22. the whole screen whenever the backlight is on, and return to normal mode
  23. when the backlight is off - period.
  24. Especially on the new OS 3.1 devices, you get back the 'usual' look with
  25. invert hack, since the new LCDs look inverted when the backlight is on. Well,
  26. try it out yourself ...

  39. To use Invert Hack, you need to run Ed Keyes HackMaster on your Pilot. Look
  40. for the latest version of HackMaster on http://www.daggerware.com.
  41. Because of questions I got from users, I want to point out once more: I have
  42. nothing to do with HackMaster. HackMaster is a program, that allows system
  43. extensions/replacements like VoltageControl to reside in 'peace' amongst others
  44. of its kind on the Pilot. If you want to know more about HackMaster, please
  45. check Ed's pages. There you'll find also the HackMaster API, in case you want
  46. to write your own hack.

  48. PLEASE NOTE: Hackmaster is a great piece of software, and the farsight of Ed
  49. ============ made it possible, that the Pilot community can enjoy alot of
  50.              great system extensions, Palm (USR, 3Com, whoever) missed to
  51.              implement. PLEASE REGISTER HACKMASTER IF YOU USE IT !

  53. ATTENTION:   A hack *MUST BE DISABLED* before you can delete it safely from
  54. ==========   your Pilot! I still get angry e-mails from people, who had bad
  55.              crashes. I'm sorry, there is nothing a hack programmer can do.
  56.              This is just a Hackmaster rule.

  61. After you hotsynced Invert Hack the usual way with your desktop app, go to
  62. Hackmaster and activate Invert Hack. That's it!

  71. doing what it should, so I don't think there will be much of a history.
